Frequently Asked Questions
How does payment work?
Nothing is charged before we've talked. After the discovery call you get a written quote — approve it, and work starts with a 50% deposit via Stripe. The remaining 50% is due on delivery, when the project is live and handed over. Stripe processes everything securely: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay and most debit cards.
Why book a call first?
Because 20 minutes of conversation saves weeks of misunderstanding. Every project is different — the call lets me give you honest advice and a fixed, written quote instead of a generic price that doesn't fit. No pressure, no obligation.
What's included in the Website tier (£499)?
A custom-designed 1–3 page site (landing, presentation or portfolio): mobile-first and fast, contact form, basic SEO, copy polish, 2 revision rounds, and launch/deployment included. It deliberately excludes integrations and CMS — that's what the Platform tier is for.
What's included in the Platform tier (from £899)?
Everything in Website, plus: up to ~6 pages with a CMS you can edit yourself, a bookings/appointments system, transactional email (confirmations, reminders) via Resend, WhatsApp integration, local SEO with schema markup, a design system, and 30 days of post-launch support. Final quote depends on which integrations you need — fixed in writing after the discovery call.
What counts as an App / Marketplace / SaaS project (from £1,599)?
Anything with logged-in users and data: auth and roles, Stripe payments or subscriptions, dashboards and admin panels, PWAs, custom backends (Supabase). Price and timeline are scoped after the discovery call and fixed in the proposal — £1,599 is the entry point, complex marketplaces cost more.
How long does a project take?
Website: ~2 weeks. Platform: 3–6 weeks depending on integrations. Apps/SaaS: timeline is set in the proposal. Most projects kick off within a few days of the deposit.
What if I need more revisions than included?
Refinements are unlimited inside each milestone — a milestone only closes when you approve it. If you want a major scope change after work has started (different direction, new feature, structural rewrite), I scope it as a change order and quote transparently before any extra work begins.
Do I own the code and design files?
Yes. 100%. Once the project is paid in full, you own all source code, design files, brand assets, and documentation. I hand over a clean repo, exported assets in every format you need, and credentials to all connected services. No lock-in, no licensing fees, no strings.
How does maintenance work after launch?
Platform projects include 30 days of post-launch support. After that you can subscribe to a maintenance plan (Essential £49 / Growth £99 / Scale £179 per month), or run everything yourself — your site and assets stay yours either way. Subscriptions are handled via Stripe and can be cancelled anytime.
