Websites for venues and hospitality

Fast on a phone at midnight. Easy to keep up to date. Built for bars, clubs, restaurants, cafes, event spaces and promoters, by someone who has worked on both sides of the bar.

Who this is for

Owners and managers of UK venues, and the promoters who fill them. If people choose where to go from their phone, your website is part of the night.

  • Restaurants
  • Cafes
  • Event spaces
  • Promoters

I work solo. The person on the call is the person who designs and builds your site.

What goes wrong with venue websites

Slow on phones at night

Guests check on a phone, often on a weak signal, in a queue or on the street. A heavy page loses them before they see the line-up.

Event listings that are out of date

Last month's night is still the first thing people see. The real news lives in Instagram stories that vanish.

Tickets and bookings sent somewhere else

Guests click away to a third-party page, or a DM, to buy a ticket or ask for a table. Some never come back.

No clear menu or opening hours

The menu is a PDF that is hard to read on a phone. Opening hours are only on social media, or differ from one place to the next.

Hard to find on Google Maps and in AI answers

Search tools and AI assistants read plain text, addresses and structured data. Hours and events locked in images or PDFs give them nothing to quote. Your Google Business Profile stays in your hands, and your site should say the same thing it does.

What I build for venues

Launch

£795 · Launch Partner rate until 12 December 2026

One focused, responsive page with one main action. Good for a new opening, a one-off night or a single event. The partner rate is in return for permission to document the process and the result. A Launch client gets a £200 credit toward a later build.

Website

From £995 · typically 1 to 2 weeks

One to three custom-designed pages in your brand, for example home, what's on and contact. Mobile-first build, contact form and basic SEO. Two consolidated feedback rounds and weekly updates and previews.

Platform

From £1,795 · typically 3 to 5 weeks

Up to six pages and two CMS collections, so your team can edit its own content, such as events and menu items. Includes a design system and one booking or email workflow.

App / Marketplace

Scoped from £2,500

For ticket sales, guest lists or anything with accounts, payments or custom workflows at its core. Release and milestones are agreed in writing.

Extras and care

Appointments and booking, language routing and search and filtering are each from £400 as extras. After launch, Website Care is £99 a month for 1 hour and Platform Care is £189 a month for 3 hours.

These are the prices on the services page, where you can also build an estimate.

Proof: I run my own nightlife platform

NOCTVM is my own product, not client work. I designed it, built it and run it. It is a nightlife and events platform for Bucharest and Constanța, with an app at noctvm.app and a marketing site at noctvm.ro. It taught me what venues and guests need from a website.

NOCTVM, my own nightlife and events platform.
  • Every event has its own page with date, time, venue, line-up and a ticket button, plus structured data that search engines can read.
  • Every venue has a page with its address, map position, social links, and upcoming and recent events. Guests can follow a venue.
  • Checkout for tickets: choose a ticket type and quantity and pay online through Stripe Checkout. Seats are held while you pay. Free ticket types are supported too.
  • Tickets arrive by email with a QR code and are kept in the app. A Save to Google Wallet option is built in.
  • On the night, door staff scan each ticket once, with a door list grouped by name. Venues manage ticket types, refunds and their team in a dashboard.
  • The whole experience is in Romanian and English.
  • It installs on a phone as a web app, with a dark-first design made for use at night.
  • A "tonight" page for each city lists every event on one page that loads as plain HTML.

I have built the ticketing flow. I make no claims here about sales or users.

How it works

  1. A free 20 minute fit call

We talk about your venue and what the site needs to do. Nothing is charged first.

  2. Paid discovery, only if needed

If important unknowns remain, Strategy & Scope (£350) settles them before a proposal.

  3. A written scope

Scope, exclusions, timeline and fee, in writing.

  4. Build with weekly updates

For Website and Platform, 50% books your start date. You get weekly written updates and previews, with calls at review milestones.

  5. Launch and handover

The balance is due within seven calendar days of launch, then files, documentation and account access are handed over.

  6. 30 days of aftercare

After that, monthly care is optional.

Questions venue owners ask

How much does a venue website cost?

Launch is £795 for one focused page, at the Launch Partner rate until 12 December 2026. Website is from £995 for one to three pages. Platform is from £1,795 for up to six pages with one booking or email workflow. App / Marketplace is scoped from £2,500. Nothing is charged before we have talked.

How long does it take?

Website usually takes 1 to 2 weeks and Platform 3 to 5 weeks, counted from the agreed start once content and access are ready. App timelines are set in the proposal.

Can the site take bookings or ticket sales?

Platform includes one named workflow, such as appointment booking or transactional email. Accounts, payments and complex workflows are quoted separately. Anything with accounts, payments or custom workflows at its core is scoped from £2,500 as an App / Marketplace project, with scope, timeline and fee agreed after the fit call.

Can my team update events and menus ourselves?

Platform includes two CMS collections, so your team can edit its own content. On the Website tier a CMS is quoted as an extra. After launch, Website and Platform include 30 days of aftercare, with up to two hours of small changes to supplied text or images. Website Care is £99 a month for 1 hour and Platform Care is £189 a month for 3 hours. Hours reset monthly and do not carry over.

Do I own the site once it is built?

Yes. After the final payment you receive the agreed files, documentation and account access. Third-party tools and licences are named in the proposal, with their own terms and fees.

How does payment work?

Nothing is charged before we have talked. For Website and Platform, 50% books the project and the rest is due within seven calendar days of launch. Handover follows the final payment.

What happens after I send an enquiry?

I reply within one business day, usually with a time for the free 20 minute fit call. If the work is clear we go straight to a written proposal. If important unknowns remain I suggest Strategy & Scope first, which is £350.
